Library Committee

The St. James library is run by a group of dedicated volunteers. They meet monthly to discuss concerns and insure that the library continues to meet the needs of parishioners. The library functions under the auspices of the Christian Education Committee within the Ministry Council.
Many of the books in the library have been generously donated by members of the congregation who have enjoyed them and wish to share them with other members. The committee also gratefully accepts donations of new books given in celebration of a birth, an anniversary, a memorial, or other special event. Recognition of the occasion is acknowledged inside the front cover.
Some of the topics of the books include: prayer, worship, evangelism, Christian family life, comparative religion, healing, as well as others. There is also an entire bookcase of fictional and biographical material. Tapes of past sermons are also available. Borrowing from the library is made easy by following the instructions on the desk.
Requests regarding the library and its materials can be made of any of the following committee members: Mary Johnson, Anne Griffith, Lorraine Baycroft, Martha Haworth, Dianne Webster, John Carrier, Susan Glowa.
